Federation to Germany
The participants of the discussion — representatives of the Russian and German expert community — will discuss the project implementation in the creation of globally competitive production of the new generation, which corresponds to all stages of the life cycle of production: from the training of students and the acceleration of start-ups development, project planning of high-tech products, implementation of engineering calculations and virtual simulations — up to the production of prototypes using advanced manufacturing technologies, in production chain and further support of the products.
As part of the track, a presentation will be held on the results of the joint activities of the SPbPU departments and the German partner SAP SE, Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, Siemens AG, leading German universities, leading automotive companies and other representatives of the high-tech industries — held. Best practice examples in the area of the development of original technologies, designs, device technology with the use of advanced production technologies are presented, as well as other fields of Russian-German interaction are discussed.

Programs and speakers:
Within the framework of this track, the possibilities of cooperation between universities and scientific centers of Europe and Russia will be discussed in line with the main global trends: open science, big data, large-scale international collaborations, as well as national and international programs of support. Various formats for the implementation of international research projects of SPbPU and universities in the EU will be presented: establishment of laboratories supervised by foreign scientists, visiting professors programs and participation in megascience projects. On the basis of the cases presented, the possibilities of obtaining financing for joint research projects, as well as the trajectories of participation of foreign scientists in the research activities of the university will be discussed.
Within the framework of this track SPbPU internationalization strategy and the best practices of interaction with world leaders in the field of education will be shared. It will focus on new formats of engineering education, project-oriented students’ activities as well as practice of conducting joint student project marathons with leading universities in Germany and Austria. Information will be provided on the experience of implementing joint educational programs, including double and triple diploma programs and best practices of strategic partnership between SPbPU and TU Berlin, Leibniz University Hannover and TU Graz.
